In the context of Biotech Week 2021, a week of events and meetings around the world to talk about biotechnologies to a vast and heterogeneous audience, the University of Bologna is organizing an event to discuss and present the opportunities offered by the circular and sustainable bioeconomy for safeguarding the planet, economic development and job creation.

The event, entitled “Biotechnologies for a circular and sustainable bioeconomy: training opportunities, employment prospects and impact on citizenship”, will be held online (language: italian) on 27 September from 10:30 to 13:00 and it will aim to show in particular the opportunities and job scenarios in this macro-sector. Local and national realities from the industrial and agri-food biotechnology sectors will take part to the initiative.

It will also be an opportunity to present the activities of the European Bioeconomy University, who’s aim is to train in the bioeconomy sector, and the European project Horizon 2020 Transition2BIO dedicated to supporting the transition to a more sustainable future in the bioeconomy through communication, training and public involvement activities.
